The publication of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF Training) represents a change in the way the NHS in England will conduct learning responses following a patient safety incident or when an opportunity for improvement is identified. With a less prescriptive approach, not necessarily linked to actual harm, the emphasis will be on providers to set out how they will decide on the most appropriate and proportionate response to an incident in their Patient Safety Incident Response Policies and Plans. The PSIRF also mandates a minimum level of training for those leading learning responses and conducting oversight. At the heart of any learning response is the compassionate engagement with those affected.
pd Safety Consulting Ltd has hands-on experience of making the transition to the new framework with an early adopter Trust. This lends credibility to our training, enables us to shine a light on those areas where we think a mindset change helps and offer practical solutions to allow you to benefit from the potential the new framework offers.
Our workshops have been mapped to the PSIRF standards and competencies and are delivered by appropriately qualified trainers as required by PSIRF.
